After some serious consideration, we have taken the tough decision to keep Lamont Farm Project closed to the Public for the remainder of this year. We will review our position again in January 2021.
Although we are now in tier 3 the travel restrictions are still the same and, due to a large amount of visitors coming from outside of Renfrewshire, we feel the safest option is to remain closed to the Public.
Having sought advice, we would have to further reduce our visitor capacity (from 20 to 10 people) as well as implement ID checks at the gate. Unfortunately, this is time consuming and would take us away from the work we need to do on a daily basis to care for the animals.
This has been an incredibly hard decision to make and we haven’t taken it lightly. We have to keep the Farm’s volunteers and visitors as safe as possible and at the moment we couldn’t guarantee that if we reopened to the Public.
We hope you all understand our reasoning behind this decision and we thank you all for the fantastic support we have received from you throughout this very tough year. Please continue to stay safe and we hope to see you all soon. 😃
