We hope you can come and join us on Sunday 26th September when we will be holding our annual Open Day. Although it will be smaller than previous years, to allow us to spread things out safely, we still have a lot planned for it! Games, tombola, candy floss, bouncy castle and more – a great day out for all the family! This will help raise much needed funds for the Farm and allow it to continue to care for the animals throughout the winter. Every penny raised goes towards caring for the animals, and who knows you might even win one of our fabulous raffle prizes!
These are some of the prizes up for grabs, so why not pop along on the day and join in the fun. One of our favourite prizes has to be the glamper it includes hair curler, eyeshadow pallet, eyelashes and much more. For anyone wanting some tickets, these are only £1 per strip and can be purchased by sending a private message to our Facebook page here.

Since Renfrewshire moved to Coronavirus (COVID-19) protection level 2 earlier this week, we are pleased to advise that we can now allow up to 8 people from 8 households to visit the Farm outdoors as one group. Please note that the total number of visitors within the Farm’s environs are still capacity restricted. Under 12s do not count towards the total number of people or households meeting outside, but do count towards household numbers indoors. As a reminder, 6 people from 3 households can meet in an indoor public place. You can keep up to date on the latest COVID-19 guidance here.
We are pleased to advise that we are now open on Fridays. Our opening hours are now 10.30am to 4pm, 7 days, so please feel free to pop down tomorrow or any other day for a visit. The animals would love to see lots of smiling faces.
When you visit we ask you to please consider donating either by card (we have a reader) or in the cash donations bucket on the gate. If you could even consider making a small donation of £1.50/ adult and £1/ child (roughly £5 for a family of 4) then it would make such a huge difference to us. We fought long and hard throughout lockdown to keep our head above water, to be able to reopen earlier this month. We have succeeded, but it has been really tough. We had just enough funds to see us through to March. However, it was May before we were finally able to reopen again and by some miracle we got there. This has left us with a huge dent in what little reserves we had in the bank.
Due to COVID-19 rules we are not allowed to hold any Gala days or other fund raising events, such as supermarket bag-packs. Money raised from these events has always been what helped us get through the winter months and without visitors’ financial support we will struggle to survive another winter.
Your help will allow you and your families to continue to enjoy the unique experience that our wee charity has to offer. We know times are tough for everyone, but please donate whatever you can, thank you so much.
We have set up a check-in QR code for Farm Visitors to use via the Scottish NHS Check In Scotland app. Please scan the code both when entering and leaving the Farm. This replaces our contact and trace book, and is safer and more practical to use. Links to download the free apps are provided below. Thank you all very much for your continued support.
We are so excited (and a bit nervous ) to be finally welcoming you all back to the Farm when it reopens today. It’s been a long hard winter, but we just want to say a million thank you’s to everyone for the amazing support and encouraging words that you have given us. We really couldn’t have gotten through these past few months without you.
From today we will be open 10.30am to 4pm daily from Saturday to Thursday, closing only on Fridays for deep cleaning. Please be advised that we recommend coming along no later than 2.30pm. Following the last lockdown we were very busy when we reopened. Some days there was quite a queue and we would hate to disappoint visitors and have to turn them away.
Lamont Farm Project is delighted to be reopening to the Public on Saturday 1st May 2021. Our Summer opening hours will be 10am-4pm, Saturday to Thursday only (closed Fridays). All the animals and humans at the Farm are looking forward to welcoming you back to visit us. It’s been awfully quiet without you.
We will put an updated post on our Facebook page nearer the time. Please continue to check there and on the news page on this website for updates.
As you know we had to take the difficult decision in Autumn 2020 to close the Farm due to COVID-19 restrictions. However, we are very pleased and excited to announce that we now have a provisional date for reopening to the Public on Tuesday 27th April 2021! We will do an updated post on our Facebook page nearer the time. Please continue to check there and on the news page on this website for updates.
After some serious consideration, we have taken the tough decision to keep Lamont Farm Project closed to the Public for the remainder of this year. We will review our position again in January 2021.
Although we are now in tier 3 the travel restrictions are still the same and, due to a large amount of visitors coming from outside of Renfrewshire, we feel the safest option is to remain closed to the Public.
Having sought advice, we would have to further reduce our visitor capacity (from 20 to 10 people) as well as implement ID checks at the gate. Unfortunately, this is time consuming and would take us away from the work we need to do on a daily basis to care for the animals.
This has been an incredibly hard decision to make and we haven’t taken it lightly. We have to keep the Farm’s volunteers and visitors as safe as possible and at the moment we couldn’t guarantee that if we reopened to the Public.
We hope you all understand our reasoning behind this decision and we thank you all for the fantastic support we have received from you throughout this very tough year. Please continue to stay safe and we hope to see you all soon. 😃
