After much consideration we have made the very difficult decision that the Farm will not be reopening over the next few weeks. We are working hard on plans to be able to adhere to the guidelines and to put social distancing measures in place. Weโre sure you appreciate this will take a bit of time. We can assure you plans are well under way and our intention is to re open when itโs safer to do so, and when we can keep everyone from visitors to volunteers safe ๐
After careful consideration of the Governmentโs advice, we have had to make the tough decision this morning to close the Farm to the public. Although we do not have large crowds in at any given time, and no-one associated with the farm is showing any symptoms, we feel that itโs the best decision for the time being.
We have to ensure everyoneโs safety. The less risks we take the better, as we wonโt be any use to the animals if we end up ill. Please be assured that we will still be in taking care of the animals.
This decision has not been taken lightly, as we had hoped to remain open for as long as possible. We will endeavour to keep everyone updated on the animals adventures via Facebook and are still happy to chat on the phone and offer any help we can.
Our opening hours for the foreseeable future are 11am-3pm, 7 days. We will be remaining open until we absolutely have to close. Unfortunately, during this time we will not be offering any handling of the animals or providing anyone to walk around with visitors. However, we are still open for people to come to the Farm and have a wander around themselves. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. Please continue to visit us. We need your support.
Due to the severe weather warning for Storm Dennisโ๏ธ๐ช๏ธโ, the Farm will be closed for today (15/2/2020) and all the animals will enjoy a day in bed ๐
We are open as normal this weekend and our normal opening hours will recommence next week (Mon-Fri 10am-3.30pm; Sat & Sun 10am-4.30pm). Please note that the play area is currently closed until the work to it is completed, hopefully reopening by the middle of next week. Other areas may be temporarily affected. Once all the work is finished, we’re sure you’ll agree with us that it will be worth the wait ๐๐
Well we have some really exciting news! Through Hub West Scotland’s Helping Hands Project we are going to be getting some vital maintenance work done throughout next week, from re-concreting the yard, sorting drainage issues, repair work, improvements to the play area and lots, lots more! This will all make a massive difference to us coming into the winter ๐
This unfortunately does mean that the Farm will be closed from Monday to Friday next week (16-20/9/19). At present the plans are to be reopened by the weekend, but this may change. All updates will be posted on our Facebook page, along with some pictures to let everyone see the progress!
We are really sorry if this causes an inconvenience to anyone, but think how good the Farm will look once the work is complete!
